From 20 to 24 August 2019, the NRW Youth Forum will take part in gamescom, the interactive entertainment trade fair in Cologne. Promoted by the Ministry of Children, Family, Refugees and Integration of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and under the auspices of the Office for Children, Youth and Family of the City of Cologne, around thirty North Rhine-Westphalia partner institutions and youth projects from social work and schools will present themselves on nearly 700 square metres in hall 10.2 of Koelnmesse with varied and interesting programme offerings.
The media and educational programmes are primarily aimed at youth, but also provide lots of information on youth protection in the media and media literacy for parents and educational staff. With the Youth Forum of North Rhine-Westphalia, adults also have a good opportunity to personally experience the creative potential of young gamers and enter into a dialogue with them.
This year, the NRW Youth Forum offers diversified programme points revolving around computer games, as well as entertaining and exciting participation and experiences for young visitors to the trade fair. Here, it is primarily knowledge, creativity, skill and teamwork that are called for to get out of the Escape Room or win one of the attractive prizes, for example, in the Forum Quiz or in the benefit gaming.
