Judges and Host of the gamescom cosplay contest 2020
This was no easy task for our jury. From the fantastic 30 finalists, they nevertheless selected those who deserved the top places in the categories Best Costume, Best Dress and Best Built at the gamescom cosplay contest 2020.
On 30th August 2020 you could watch the stream on gamescom now at the Best of Show, where the winners were honoured. We think the jury of experts mastered this difficult challenge brilliantly.
May we introduce our Judges:
“Since 2014 I have been practicing Cosplay as a passionate hobby with a focus on tailoring, fabrics as well as handmade props and armor. My enthusiasm for the craft led me to start a course of study in costume design three years ago.
Meanwhile I cooperate with international theatres, state operas, film crews as well as game studios to realize the visual dramaturgy of the costumes.
My biggest aim is to gain as many new experiences and perspectives as possible and I hope that the participants of this competition will enrich each other and us with many inspirations”
Florence 'bakka' (33) has been a German-French hobby cosplayer since 2005 and became a make-up artist through Cosplay in 2013. After many years of creating, she automatically grew into professional wig making, after completing her diploma and master in (video/design/illustration) art in France.
Her biggest and most viral project "Junkrat" (2016) with smoking, glowing and moving costume parts, let her grow artistically and internationally.
Always in search of exceptional projects and challenges in each project, she loves to surprise spectators and to incorporate many details: meticulous painting, smoke, smell, working and moving costume parts, hidden fun facts, etc...

The German-American team led through the show and presented our 30 finalists of the gamescom cosplay contest. They were as excited as you to find out which costumes will win the race in the categories Best Costume, Best Dress and Best Built.
