Going to #gamescom? Our 5 ultimate tips to get ready

How do I best prepare for gamescom 2018? What do I have to consider? What should I know? Have you ever asked yourselves these questions? We'll give you a few great tips so that nothing stands in the way of your successful gamescom visit.

1. Make a plan

Planning is everything! Anyone who has ever been to gamescom knows that the fair grounds are huge. So if you want to see a lot and are particularly interested in certain exhibitors, we recommend that you plan in advance and work out the best route. With the help of the hall plans, you can organize your individual gamescom experience.

2. Consider going for more than one day

Even with a schedule planned in advance, it's hard to see everything in one day. You want to try lots of new games? Participate in events? Experience many new things? Then we recommend that you visit gamescom on two or even three days.

3. Take breaks

Take enough breaks during your visit. This is especially important on hot summer days. There is plenty of food and drink available on the entire site.

4. Take a power bank with you

The days at gamescom are long – and your smartphone's battery is likely to wear out at some point. This can't happen if you pack a charged power bank.

5. Wear comfortable shoes

Unlike gaming, having blisters on your feet is no fun. Wear comfy sneakers as there's a lot to discover at the world's largest event for computer and video games. Bonus tip: Bring some band-aids!

Now you’re all set and ready to go. And if you don't have a ticket for gamescom yet, then head to the official shop as soon as possible:
